BE GRATEFUL!

Its not normally i take to social media to share my personal views, my recent outings, my daily routine or anything out of the extraordinary. But extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures and since the whole country is under lockdown for 21 days due to severity of the threat being posed by the coronavirus pandemic in the world and how it could impact globally, personally, physically, mentally and economically i’d just like to share a few thoughts since we all have this moment universally at one particular time in our lives which i hope never arises ever again in such circumstances.

In the midst of our daily routine we tend to be too carefree, we spend less time with our family, maybe more time outdoors than indoors, maybe eat unhealthy, maybe party too much, maybe shop alot, maybe spend too much time with our phones, maybe ponder over broken relationships, maybe ponder over our future, maybe forget to exercise, maybe do nothing at all!

Yes, there’s a host of things we might be doing in excess, moderation or maybe not even trying. But never have we got this much time to ourselves to think about us as an individual, to think about how we speak to our parents, how we are as a friend, how we are as a colleague, a partner, a sibling, a professional and most importantly as a HUMAN BEING!

I don’t want to be preaching words of wisdom because whatever we are doing we try our best, we make mistakes, we improve, we make mistakes again, we learn again, some immediately, some take a while and some might never learn at all. All we do is get up and move again, we march on either brimming with positivity, uncertainty, may even be with a lot of negativity.

As we move on in this 21 day period, we’ll be experiencing tons of thoughts about our work, our future, our health, our relationships because make no mistake these are tough times for even the strongest person we know. No one wants a crisis on their heads, no one wants to start from scratch, no one wants to lose their job, no one wants to stop earning money, no one wants to be suffering from an illness, no one wants to cry over a fractured relationship, NO WANTS UNCERTAINTY IN THEIR LIVES! PERIOD.

Which brings us to the question, that most of us might be asking ourselves WHAT NOW?

We need to realise and be extraordinarily grateful to the moments we spend with our loved ones, friends, our colleagues and whoever makes a difference in our lives for the good or bad.

At this particular juncture in our lives, wherever we our we need to be thankful for what we have, be grateful to the meals we consume through the day, be good to our environment, be loving to our pets, be positive for the future, maintain that creativity, be empathetic towards who aren’t as privileged as most of us might be, keep your mind active with whatever makes you happy!

JUST BE GRATEFUL! YOU MIGHT NEVER GET THAT MOMENT AGAIN.

Also Please Stay Indoors, Please Stay Clean, Please let’s all do our duty to come back to normalcy!
